Estudio Diego Feijóo
Diego Feijóo was born in Mar del Plata, Argentina in 1972. In 1975, his family emigrated to Spain, finally settling in Barcelona in 1979.
He studied graphic design at Elisava Escola Superior de Disseny (Barcelona), and after gaining some experience in Summa Branding for three years, in 1998 he joined Mario Eskenazi’s studio.
Since 2000, Diego has run his own studio designing corporate identities, books and exhibitions among other disciplines. Diego believes in forming long-term relationships with his clients, most of which are cultural institutions, and with non-governmental organisations like Médecins Sans Frontières (Spain).
His work philosophy is to be simple, and he is driven by the desire to find one single strong idea for the identity of each one of his clients.
In 2012, he was invited by the Cervantes Institute Prague to do a monograph exhibition of his work over the last 10 years. He also has participated in several exhibitions such as “Helvetica, Una nova tipografia?” or “Bienal de Diseño Iberoamericano”.
Diego has given presentations at DH11, 2008 (México), Universidad Autónoma del Caribe, 2009 (Colombia) and Cervantes Institute, 2012 (Prague), and he regularly gives lectures at UAB (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona) and IDEP (College of Arts and Design, Barcelona).
Since 2000, he has received several Laus Awards, the most prestigious Spanish design awards. His work has also received awards from Ed-Awards, ADC*E and the International Society of Typographic Designers, ISTD.
